N-Acetyl-Cysteine, commonly known as NAC, is a stable form of the amino acid cysteine. It is commonly used to support the body’s natural production of glutathione, antioxidant defence, liver function and respiratory wellness.
NAC provides cysteine, one of the amino acids the body uses to produce glutathione. Glutathione is a naturally occurring antioxidant involved in cellular protection and normal antioxidant defence.
Our enteric sustained-release format is designed to help protect the capsule during its passage through the stomach before releasing gradually further along the digestive tract.
This differs from a conventional immediate-release capsule, which begins releasing shortly after it is swallowed.
Take the product according to the directions shown on the label. Consistent daily use is generally more important than taking it at a particular time of day.
Swallow the capsules whole. Do not open, crush or chew them, as doing so may interfere with the enteric sustained-release format.
